Cutting the Cake
The cake cutting is a much-loved wedding tradition, symbolising the couple’s first task together as newlyweds.
It’s a lovely moment that naturally brings friends and family together to watch you cut your beautifully designed cake. I’ll invite everyone in for a big countdown, giving guests the chance to take photos and enjoy the moment, with a mellow or acoustic song setting the perfect backdrop typically.
The First Dance
The first dance is one of the most memorable moments of your wedding reception.
As your DJ, I’ll smoothly announce when it’s time, inviting your guests to gather around the dance floor as you and your partner share your first dance as a married couple.
This moment can be fully customized to suit your vision, but many couples love inviting all of their guests to join them on the dance floor halfway through the song, turning a beautiful moment into a celebration with everyone you love.

Parent's Dance
This meaningful moment can be arranged in a variety of ways, whether it’s the bride dancing with her father, the groom with his mother, or even both couples sharing the dance together.
You may choose to have each dance separately or combine them into one song — the decision is completely up to you.
It’s always a good idea to check in with your parents beforehand, and remember, these dances are becoming less traditional, so there’s absolutely no pressure to include them unless it feels right for you.
Speeches & Thank-you's
The thank you speeches are a heartfelt moment during any wedding, giving the couple a chance to express their gratitude to family, friends, and everyone who made the day special.
As your DJ, we ensure these speeches are clearly heard by all guests, providing the perfect audio setup so that every word is captured and every emotion felt. We work seamlessly with your schedule to keep the flow of the reception smooth and memorable.
The Bouquet Toss
For an added touch of fun during your reception, you may choose to include the bouquet toss (if it hasn’t already taken place earlier).
We’ll invite all the single ladies — and gents, if you wish — to gather around the dance floor as the bride tosses the bouquet into the crowd. Tradition says the lucky person who catches it will be the next to marry, and whether or not that proves true, it’s guaranteed to spark cheers, laughs, and a little friendly competition.
The Hen/Stag Song
Did you and your hen or stag party share a moment so unforgettable it deserves a second outing at the reception?… Maybe it’s a song tied to a hilarious memory — whether that’s a legendary night out, a questionable round of Jägerbombs, or antics best remembered with a laugh.
We can drop that song during the reception and invite the hen or stag crew onto the dance floor to relive the moment together and get the party going all over again
The Last Dance
The last dance is your wedding night’s grand finale — a chance to share one final magical moment together and leave everyone with hearts full of joy.
We’ll choose a song that captures the love and emotion of your day, creating a beautiful, lasting memory for you and your guests. Whether it’s a timeless classic or a song that’s uniquely yours, this is your moment to shine together on the dance floor one last time.
If you would like to request your own last song we are certainly open to recommendations. Either before the day or even on the night you can request your last song. Please note that if you don’t ask before the day there could be a chance the DJ may not have the song available but we will do everything to make sure we can get it for you.
